The Fray's Top 10 favourite TV shows
The Fray are back with their fourth studio album Helios – their first since 2012’s Scars and Stories.
Adding an electronic kick to their album of melodic tunes, it’s highly likely the band will hear their newest music soundtracking numerous TV shows in the near future.
Having lent their tracks to shows such as Grey’s Anatomy, Pretty Little Liars and Scrubs (to name a few), we asked lead singer Isaac Slade which TV shows he likes to watch.
Here are his Top 10.
Breaking BadGreat show. We all watched this at different times on tour. So at any given moment you’d find each of us huddled in to our own respective corners of the bus with headphones on, each on a different season most likely. There was a lot of peeking over to one another’s laptop/ipad…”oh man just wait till next season”. Our friend Rian Johnson directed a couple episodes, so it was fun to watch knowing he was involved.
HomelandDrama at its best. We all grew up with crushes on Claire Danes circa Romeo and Juliet. I guess we haven’t let go of that yet.
The Tonight Show with Jimmy FallonJimmy is our generation’s Johnny Carson. This show has the most energy of any of the major network late night shows. Plus the Roots. I mean come on.
Modern FamilyFresh, fun, and I’m a Phil fan. What can I say?
New GirlZoe’s one of the funniest women on TV. I can’t get enough of this show.
ParenthoodCry pretty hard at this one. Sometimes with the audio off.
Brooklyn Nine-NineAndy’s hilarious. He’s a TV and internet force of nature. It’s great to see him in a scripted comedy that is just as funny as that I’m On A Boat.
PortlandiaWe got to meet Fred & Carrie the other day. I couldn’t tell the difference between their on screen and their off. I love their show. Gets hipsters perfectly.
SuburgatoryPerfect capture of the life we grew up in.
NashvilleNot anywhere near caught up on this one, but I’m just happy there’s a show that is about our day jobs. It’s a bit soapy but I can’t look away.
