Dog days in Dhaka after 54 yrs

The highest temperature in the last five decades was recorded in Dhaka on Thursday.
The city people experienced the blistering heat of 40.2 degrees Celsius on Thursday, according to Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
On 30 April 1960, Dhaka recorded 42.3 degrees Celsius temperature, therefore, today's temperature was the second highest in the last 54 years.
Today's highest temperature in the country was 42.6 degrees Celsius recorded in Jessore.
