Actress Purnima gave birth to a baby girl at a private hospital at about 10:20am on 13 April. Purnima's sister Dilruba Hanif confirmed the birth. She also said that both mother and the newborn are doing well.
A group of doctors, headed by M R Khan, helped Purnima deliver the baby. Her husband, mother, sisters and other close relatives were present at that time.
Dhallywood actress Purnima got married on 4 November 2007 with Ahmed Jamal Fahad.
Purnima received National Film Award in 2010 for her performance on Kazi Hayat's film "Ora Amake Bhalo Hote Dilo Na."
